I am a Photographer in Little Elm, TX / Frisco, TX that would like to share with you some clothing tips for your photo session!
First, I want to be clear…These are only suggestions and tips to bring personality and style to your photos! Most important thing is to be yourself!
These are just a few examples of the many clients who did an amazing job on their clothing choices. I am happy to finally create a blog that I can reference people to!

#1 Coordinate, don’t match!
I recommend having no more than one busy print per picture, then bringing out the colors in that busy print, keeping everyone else’s outfits more simple.

See how beautiful the colors coordinate? It is also nice to have a pop of color, but definitely not necessary. This bright red dress adds a great level of contrast to this photo!
This maternity session was held in McKinney, TX.
#2 Accessorize!
The fastest, easiest way to add personality, texture, and style is to add some accessories! Feel free to add layers in your clothing to add even more texture!
That’s right! Hats, scarves, jewelry, headbands, jackets!

#3 Details!
Shoes matter! They can really make a statement!
Hairspray! Use it before, and bring it to your session! Helps with flyaways!
Try to wear a belt if your pants have belt loops.
No mini skirts, low tops, etc.
Try not wear a shirt with a large logo on it. Your shirt could crease in that area, photographing only part of the logo. It just looks better without the distraction too!
Also, if you are a lady, either remove all your nail polish or have a fresh coat on! (it may show and you don’t want chips in your polish)
The image on the left has freshly painted nail polish that ties in the color of her scarf. The layers of jewelry and texture add a lot of personality.
The image on the right has great coordinating colors, textures, and layers! Those boots scream FALL! Love it!
